Update…New Faces, Ecommerce, NUDE Series, Tools…
This is simply an update about what is going on at semvironment…perhaps it is a bragging moment plus a quick look at what should be coming up on the blog!
New Faces
Two new people joined the team this past week. We will be posting their bios later but their names are Shane and Dustin. They will probably contribute to the blog every once in a while…and they will be managing our new Ecommerce business unit.
Ecommerce
We are scheduled to launch 4 niche ecommerce sites (one is technically a ‘relaunch’) within the next 4 to 6 weeks. We would like to share the general processes and tactics via the blog - mostly as it relates to PPC.
One of our primary reasons for developing an ecommerce business unit is to give us the ability to really test and document the limits with PPC in ecommerce situations - with relatively lower ($20 expected avg) and higher ($2000 expected avg) priced products. We will conduct tests that we wouldn’t ordinarily perform with client accounts…it should be fun and interesting to see what happens!
The plan is to consistently grow this unit so our research isn’t skewed by one niche vs another. There will always be a degree of error or a certain confidence level…but we want to ultimately produce results that we can consider ‘normal’.
None of these sites will compete or are competing with our client base - we include and strictly honor a non-compete and a decent non-disclosure in all our client contracts.
Technically, these websites will be ‘clients’ to the PPC Management business unit but the agreement will be open so we will be able to share certain details when we wouldn’t otherwise be able to do so.
This is exciting!
NUDE Series
I expect to post another NUDE blog post within the next 7 days! The Title? Sorry, can’t spill the beans yet…
Tools
One more project that has been in the works for a while is an awesome tool for ecommerce websites…or really any website…that will help take quality management to the next level. I guess I’m going to be vaguely general about this tool: The idea is to rapidly coordinate and launch a record number of landing pages with a very tightly grouped set of keywords specifically associated with that page; thereby making it easier to dive into a website like Blockbuster and accurately advertise for thousands of specific movie titles within a few hours! Wishful thinking? We’ll see.
It’s not a full fledged ppc management utility - the primary function is landing page and keyword coordination to capture the long-tail in a high quality, rapid momentum way…I hope I am not hyping it up to be more than it is. haha
I would like to release a more public beta (we’re testing it internally right now and will need to redevelop/redesign and write a detailed user guide for the public ) so if you want to be part of that beta, please email us at tool-beta (at) this domain . com. I don’t expect to release that beta for several months…
That’s a wrap for this update.
